NASP DELEGATE REPORT It seems impossible that the year is almost over and Christmas is at hand. The year in retrospect has been very interesting. With all the Medicaid billing and Mental Health services School Psychologist are in great demand. It seems there are vacancies every where. The Fall conference was one of the best ever. Ms. Browning's presentation offered something for everyone. I heard only positive comments and look forward to the follow-up in the Spring. I am currently on my way to the Regional Meeting in Chicago with our President Elect, Debby Wheat. The topic of discussion will be centered around Governmental and Professional Relations and current issues of importance in the schools. The Regulations for IDEA are promised by December 1,1998, so you probably already have a copy in your hands, I hope!!! The next OSPA Today should include many articles once the Regulations are released. Other business that is critical is the membership drive that is in progress for OSPA and NASP. If you have not renewed your membership, I encourage you to hurry and join. I would hate for anyone to miss the important information that is being covered by your Communique and OSPA Today. The Annual Conference in Las Vegas promises to be an exciting one with information regarding the IDEA regulations and the future of School Psychology. If you are not currently a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and would like information to become one, notify me and I will send you all the information you need. I really enjoy visiting with you about NASP and the many rewards you get for membership. My E-mail address is joycel3@juno.com. See you in Las Vegas!!!
