AROUND THE STATE

Several RESC personnel changes have occurred recently. New staff members at the Ardmore RESC; Kathy Gates, psychometrist at the Alva RESC; and Nicole Smith, psychometrist at the Lawton RESC.

Stephen Crane, Edmond School Psychologist, was invited to serve as an ad hoc reviewer for School Psychology Review, for an article that dealt with Crisis Management in the Schools. Steve served as the first chairperson of the National Emergency Assistance Team for NASP in 1996-97 and was selected to attend NOVA (National Organization for Victim Assistance) training this past summer.

Susan McKinney, School Psychologist for the Edmond Public Schools, was quoted in an article which appeared in the November 16 issue of the Daily Oklahoman. The title of the article was For IQ Testers, It's the Thought That Counts.
