OSPA FALL CONFERENCE PREVIEW The OSPA Fall Conference this year offers an informative program on the topic, Neuropsychology in Children . The conference will be held on Friday, October 8, 1999, at the Tulsa Southern Hills Marriott Hotel. Ray Dean, Ph.D., from Ball State University, Muncie, IN, who is recognized nationally for his expertise as a psychologist with neuropsychological foundations, will be the speaker for the conference. His presentation will be designed toward increasing the skills of school psychologists in this area of assessment and intervention. He will address behavioral and emotional issues as well as learning problems with special populations to include students with ADHD, TBI, autism and prenatal exposure to neuro-toxins. He is a co-author of a new neuropsychological assessment with Dr. Richard Woodcock. Participants will be furnished free copies of the prenatal scales. Registration forms for the conference will be mailed to OSPA members in August. Practicing school psychologists or graduate students wishing to display posters or special projects at the conference may submit an abstract, not exceeding 300 words, for review by the conference committee.
