PR & PI COMMITTEE VERY ACTIVE AND NEEDS YOUR HELP

The Public Relations and Public Information Committee is very busy in assisting the efforts of OSPA's Government and Professional Relations in sitting on state committees advocating for needs in children's mental health and education areas.

Presently, OSPA has developed coalitions with the Oklahoma Institute for Child Advocacy (OICA) , the SAFE KIDS COALITION, and the Children's Coalition Committee for the Oklahoma Commission for Children & Youth (OCCY). These are very time-intensive activities and only a few of us in the OSPA membership have participated up until this time. NOW, it is time for OSPA members to step up and volunteer for service and help the few who now struggle to make all the meetings for which OSPA needs to be present. I want to acknowledge the great commitment and extensive time that Marshall Andrew Glenn Ph.D., School Psychologist from Norman, has given to OSPA and the profession of School Psychology in Oklahoma. He is currently the only school psychologist on the Executive Board of the Oklahoma Child Advocacy Institute and was responsible for much of the organization and development of OICA's successful Fall Legislative Forum this past year. He continues to be active and represent OSPA on the OICA Board. I have attempted to represent OSPA on the Children's Coalition of OCCY as well as be a volunteer for the SAFE Kids Coalition.
