AROUND THE STATE LaQueta Vaughn, Ph.D., Department of Psychology, East Central State University; Steve Crane, MS, School Psychologist, Edmond Public Schools; Marshal Andrew Glen, Ph.D., School Psychologist, Norman Public Schools; Randy Randleman, Ph.D., Private Practice, Ada, presented a panel discussion at the Annual Convention of the Oklahoma Psychological Association on Nov. 21, 1998. The topic was "Changes in Public Law and the Identification of Children with Special Needs." The session was well attended and well received. New staff in the Regional Education Service Center network includes Krista Friar, psychometrist, Cushing RESC. Angie Wilke has been assigned as psychometrist at the Lawton RESC. Linda Loudakis, psychometrist, has left the Altus RESC. Leslie Hale, Ph.D. has changed her role within the Tulsa Area Vo-Tech system. She is now working in research development. Leslie was a member of OSPA for 15 years and served in many important positions. She was president in 1983-84, received the Fay Catlett School Psychologist of the Year award in 1991 and served as chair of the Strategic Plan Committee in 1994-95 and 1995-96.
