Multi-Tiered Social-Emotional Intervention:
Increasingly, school psychology and other school-based, children’s
services are focusing on evidence-based practices and multi-tiered
delivery systems such as Response to Intervention and Positive Behavior
Support. Dr. Karen Stoiber will take the audience through the various
levels of prevention and intervention as they relate to building social
competency and reducing behavioral challenges. Dr, Stoiber will discuss
systems level prevention and intervention systems to address social
behavior, then move into intervention at the individual student level.
She will discuss the role of the school psychologist within a tiered
service delivery model, as well as the role of other educators in a
collaborative school team. Dr. Stoiber will wrap up the professional
development program by offering vignettes which will allow attendees to
apply their past experience and incorporate new skills. |
